CCS Offers Voter Registration & Education events
Celebrate democracy, and your right to vote. CCS is a designated voter registration site and, thanks to our self-advocacy group Champlain Voices, we are promoting voter registration with a special event.
There’s a special Kick-Off event at Noon on Sept. 27th – which is National Voter Registration Day. ANYONE in the community eligible to vote is encouraged to register!
We’ll have registration tables set up and staffed each day, from Noon to 2 p.m. from Tuesday, Sept. 27th through Friday, Sept. 30th.
For more information, email Champlain Voices co-facilitator Emily Anderson, or call her at (802) 655-0511 x163.
Champlain Community Services (CCS), Inc., in our 49th year of serving our community, offers coordinated one-to-one supported employment, home & shared living, school-to-career transition, and community supports to adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties, Vermont.
We also promote and coordinate self-advocacy activities, and offer crisis (24 hour on-call response) and respite (staffing and coordination of additional hours)
A small, family-centered organization providing lifelong supports, CCS offers personalized, intentional service. We work closely with each individual — and the people important to them — to help them create a fulfilling life respectful of his or her unique goals and dreams.
“We Are CCS!”
A continuing feature of our website and Facebook page will be to feature stories of people who make up CCS. Learn more about film star and entrepreneur Mark Utter here.
Our sharing these stories is supported by a grant from the Vermont Developmental Disabilities Council (VDDC).
