Employment & Education

Individualized supports for lifelong success.

CCS has developed a truly unique menu of Employment and Education supports for Vermont adults and youth with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Each part is valuable on its own, but when they come together, they’re designed to connect and work with one another. The result is a network of tools and relationships that strengthen each other and create something more powerful than the individual pieces.

Way2Work is CCS’s nationally recognized supported employment program for adults. It helps individuals explore their interests, set career goals, and find paid employment that is meaningful to them, valuable to employers, and inclusive within the community.

School2Work is a career development initiative offered in partnership with Chittenden County high schools. Building on Way2Work’s proven practices, expertise, and community connections, it helps students successfully transition from high school to competitive employment or post-secondary education.

Bridging is an academic program that prepares students for a successful transition from high school to adult life. Working with five Chittenden County high schools, it empowers students to gain the skills, confidence, and independence they need for their future.

Peer Growth & Lifelong Learning (PGLL) is a continuing education program that offers facilitated learning, community engagement, personal growth, and experiential opportunities for participants. In partnership with Northeast Kingdom Human Services and Lamoille County Mental Health Services, it provides programming across northern Vermont.
