CCS is excited to welcome Phiona Atuhaire as a new Direct Support Professional (DSP). She will work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in support of their ISA goals.
Phiona is also a graduate student, carrying out research on healthcare financing, maternal healthcare services and outcomes in Uganda, and the implications for achieving universal health coverage. Her research aims to understand the extent to which healthcare financing affects maternal healthcare utilization and Uganda’s maternal health outcomes.
As she begins her journey at CCS, Phiona said, “I look forward to adapting to change and much more,” citing a quote from Professor Leon C. Megginson: “Knowing that, It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent but rather the one that is most adaptable to change.”
Welcome to CCS, Phiona, and good luck moving forward.
