The Colchester PGLL group took a trip to the Birds of Vermont Museum in Huntington. The museum features nearly 300 woodcarvings of Vermont’s native birds crafted by the late naturalist Bob Spear.
We learned about Bob’s woodcarving process, listened to bird calls, touched feathers, and observed woodpeckers, cardinals, hummingbirds, grosbeaks, and more at the feeders on display. What an awesome way to experience the wonders of Vermont in the springtime!
