Meet Ashwini (“Ash”) Sarathy, a first-year medical student and CCS volunteer. Ash has offered her time and expertise to write a regular blog post – “Let’s Talk About Health with Ash” with health tips and information for the CCS community. We’ll share it through Facebook and Web page posts, and community emails.
“I am so excited to work with this wonderful community,” Ash said. “I have had the privilege of working with a few organizations in the past aimed at providing equitable care and opportunities for people with disabilities. I hope to bring my experiences and ultimately learn from all of you!”
Ash was one of eight medical students at UVM’s Larner College of Medicine who worked on a research project with CCS during the Spring 2022 semester through the Public Health Partnership initiative. The project was selected by the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting in Boston (Nov. 2022).
