Meet this month’s “Staff Stars,” caught in the act of doing the little (or large) extras on the job, as nominated by their colleagues for Catch-a-Star recognition.
Nurse Laurie – for her amazing ability to tackle challenging conversations with clients and their support teams with empathy, patience, level-headedness, and compassion, even when the same may not be shown to her.
André – for creating a robust virtual activities schedule in just a few short weeks!
Beth – for all the wonderful staff treats lately and for supporting a local restaurant owner with some big purchases for CCS staff.
Frank – for taking on the colossal task of updating the DSP list for things to do in the community.
Carol H – for going out on a limb to support her client and help her to be more independent.
Lucy and Maire D – for creating and presenting an award to a client who has worked hard to be a leader and to make sure everyone feels welcome and supported at the virtual activities she attends each week. The award meant a great deal to this client.
Roxy – for her rocking and rolling in some rough waters. You are a pleasure to work with!
Kristi – for always thinking of others and putting the people you support at the center of whatever your are doing.
Freya – for being an awesome supervisor and advocate for the people you support! You rock!!
Pat – for your sense of humor and always making us laugh and for going above and beyond for the people you work with. Also, for the awesome desserts you create and share with staff. You are a top-notch baker!
