“I’m planning this to be fun and interactive so please come prepared to laugh and express yourselves.”
Mark Utter, a self-proclaimed inspirational speaker who types to communicate, will be taking this presentation to Syracuse University’s annual Summer Institute this coming July in Columbia, Maryland. You can have a “sneak preview” while helping him prepare.
** The trip to Maryland for the 3-day conference with two days of travel has some expenses that Mark is covering with a GoFundMe Campaign.

Mark has a form of autism that makes it difficult for him to say what he’s thinking. Supported Typing allows him to express himself. For the first thirty years of his life Mark didn’t have access to the world of words, except as a listener. An observer. At thirty, he was introduced to Supported Typing, and started his life as a writer of words. He wrote, directed and starred in a film called, I am in here; a view of my daily life with good suggestions for improvement from my intelligent mind.
Champlain Community Services (CCS) Mark provides assistance for his day to day ventures negotiating a world that functions differently than he does. He writes a blog called Utterly Mark, and has a talk show, The Uttering Mind, on CCTV (Channel 17 in Burlington).
“I am also still seeking funds to make this trip possible, so please think about donating now or at the event – though of course you being there is more important than money,” Marks says.
