On Saturday, April 13 a veteran CCS staff member, Direct Support Professional George Ellwood was awarded The Lifesaving Award by the Vermont Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution in Montpelier. The group recognized George’s heroism and bravery last summer when he pulled a man we serve – who has limited mobility – from a major apartment building fire.
A remarkable display of personal courage from George that exemplified the kind of spirit and commitment that make CCS so special.
