For high school students, a lifetime of services can end at graduation — a potentially stressful journey into the unknown. CCS seeks to ease that transition.
CCS offers technical assistance to special educators, and transition supports to students with intellectual developmental disabilities.
A CCS job developer is also available to work with students prior to graduation to help identify vocational interests, discuss job search strategies and identify potential employers.
CCS school-transition services include:
- community-based school programs,
- consultation at IEP meetings,
- developing personalized transition plans,
- specialized vocational supports,
- and CCS-organized social events.
